Apply for the ArtWorks Scholarship
ArtWorks Westfield is investing in the future of Westfield by awarding a minimum of two Scholarships annually of $250 each to at least two Westfield students between the ages of 10 and 19 years who are currently in elementary, middle, or high school, and who are pursuing a passion in the cultural arts.
Scholarships will be awarded in May of each year. The scholarships are intended to provide monetary assistance to awarded youths for expenses that support their artistic endeavors. Such expenses may include (but are not limited to) purchasing a musical instrument, art supplies, writing materials, or photography equipment, music lessons, vocal lessons, writing classes, photography classes, art classes, dance classes, or theatre arts lessons.
Youths applying for a Scholarship must provide their name, age and address, and thoughtful responses to application questions concerning their background, the type of art that they are pursuing, their artistic goals, and ways the Cultural Arts benefits them and their community.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to provide a maximum of two digital images, videos, or audio recordings of their art for review. After the Scholarship application closes on March 1 of each calendar year, members of the ArtWorks Board will review all of the submitted applications and choose the Scholarship recipients. Scholarship winners will then be notified by phone, email, or written correspondence, and their names will be posted (without addresses) in local media outlets with the written permission of their parent or guardian.
